DT carnival

So our sch got into round 2 of Daisy Tan Carnival ya.. had to report at 8.15am at Kallang Netball Centre, a little later than the previous week.. but wasn't really much a diff anyway.. haha.

Played with many schs, which i confirmed that we were playing against were the B divs.. which was definitely a challange for all of us.. since we werent as strong and not as experienced as them. But nonetheless, we fought our way into semi-finals, into round 3 of the carnival. Which was an excellent job, for a C division to make it this far, which also meant that our standard are almost on par with our seniors already. Yeah. Really wanna say a great job done to ZEST for making this far, and giving our best, fighting till the last min! We got 3rd. 1st was North Vista, 2nd was SengKang, 3rd was us, 4th was Raffles. Ya, and i wanna empathasise again that we were the youngest LOL... hahaha. So we saw the tertiary and clubs people playing too... very very far from our play...cos they were playing at the speed of light...very amazing skills and control of the whole game. And of course, we watched Ms. Teo aka the monkey. hahaha, in a skirt, yes, in a skirt, hahaha.. im so mean la.. anyway, ya.. she always say we slackslack during training, then she herself warm up also so playful one la..still say us... but as for Mrs. Tan, in Nike team, she was definitely very good...the big and older version of Sammy! hahaha... all the Dash people ya! haha...And of course... this is to Broc, for making tremendous improvement in ur shooting and having like 99.9999% for all ur shots. WELL DONE! =D And of course, to Tkzest for making out this far. East zones is just starting, jia you peeps!

C&C

Realised actually there's many many people out there who cares, and feel for me as well... seriously.. u can really see whos there for u when ur not in ur best state, who cares for u the most, and i wld like to say that i treasure EACH AND EVERY ONE of my friend, no matter who you are, you mean something to me. Even to my loved ones, i didn't know i made such a big difference in everything i say or do, and only for a simple reason, because you have been loving me all this while, even if i just burst out on you, or hurt you how deeply; you still love me...thats how great parents' love are...

Stability results were moderately high which suggests you are relaxed, calm, secure, and optimistic.

Orderliness results were high which suggests you are overly organized, reliable, neat, and hard working at the expense too often of flexibility, efficiency, spontaneity, and fun.

Extraversion results were moderately high which suggests you are, at times, overly talkative, outgoing, sociable and interacting at the expense of developing your own individual interests and internally based identity.

Driven purposes

Everyone's life is driven by something. Here are the most common ones:

Many people are driven by guilt. They spend their entire lives running from regrets and hiding their shame. Guilt-driven people are manipulated by memories. They allow their past to control their future. They often unconsciously punish themselves by sabotaging their own success.

Many people are driven by resentment and anger. They hold on to hurts and never get over them. Instead of releasing their pain through forgiveness, they rehearse it over and over in their minds. Some resentment-driven people "clam up" and internalise their anger, while others "blow up" and explode it onto others. Both responses are unhealthy and unhelpful. Resentment always hurts you more than it does the person you resent. While your offender has probably forgotten the offense and gone on with life, you continue to stew in your pain, perpetuating the past. Those who have hurt you in the past cannot continue to hurt you now unless you hold on to the pain through resentment. Your past is past! Nothing will change it. You are only hurting yourself with your bitterness. For your own sake, learn from it, and then let it go.

Many people are driven by fear. Their fears may be a result of a traumatic experience, unrealistic expectations, growing up in a high-control home, or even genetic predisposition. Regardless of the cause, fear-driven people often miss great opportunities because they're afraid to venture out. Instead they play it safe, avoiding risks and trying to maintain the status quo. Fear is a self-imposed prison. You must move against it with the weapons of faith and love.

Many people are driven by materialism. Their desire to acquire becomes the whole goal of their lives. This drive to always want more is based on the misconceptions that having more will make me more happy, more important, and more secure, but all three ideas are untrue. Possessions only provide temporary happiness. Because things do not change, we eventually become bored with them and then want newerm bigger, better versions. It's also a myth that if i get more, i will be more important. Self-worth and net worth are not the same. Your value is not determined by your valuables. The most valuable things in life are not things! The most common myth about money is that having more will make me more secure. It won't. Wealth can be lost instantly through a variety of uncontrollable factors.

Many people are driven by the need for approval. They allow the expectations of parents or spouses or children or teachers or friends to control their lives. Many adults are still trying to earn the approval of unpleasable parents. Others are driven by peer pressure, always worried by what others might think. Unfortunately, those who follow the crowd usually get lost in it.

I don't know all the keys to success, but one key to failure is to try to please everyone. Being controlled by the opinions of others is a guaranteed way to miss purposes for your life. There are other forces that can drive your life but all lead to the same dead end: unused potential, unnecessary stress, and an unfulfilled life.

2nd day

2nd day of school, thought it was gonna be studying whole day already, BUT surprisingly, we still didnt study, FOR THE WHOLE DAY.. haha. Met our other subject teachers, Lit,History and Science, we have different teachers teaching us, the rest remains the same from last year. Science teacher was the typical kinda teacher teacher one la.. haha. Maybe she havent teach yet so i dont know how she will be like.
History teacher!!! haha. SHOCKED! SURPRISED!! haha. We are having a relief teacher for half a year. She's so young! only 19. And also an ex-TKGian! lol... shes very different from other teachers, especially History!! the most boring subject known to every student taking it. The way she intro-ed herself today, very lively and enthu, talk so fast also. But good thing la, since shes so lively, everyone wont be falling asleep, and she still ask us what we expect from her as a teacher, haha. Then we gave so many points, and then she said she'll TRY. hahaha. *she didnt know our class loves doing homework so much* hahaha.. >.<

Next was Lit, oh no.. i "SLEPT" during lesson. haha. No lesson but she was talking and talking and briefly going through what she was gonna teach la.. and the " " for slept was because i dont dare to close my eyes and sleep although i was already falling asleep. HAHA. THATS CAUSE im so hardworking, and im very guai, i dont slp in class one lei... =p. BUT it was soooooooo boring. OK... ahah not that im mean or anything but its a fact... doubt anyone or maybe less than 5 that actually really paid full attention lor. Looked around, either ppl head on table or daydreaming... LOL...only some hardworking ones looked at her.. but "pretend" to be listening.. just like me la.. ahah.

Then we had another voting for semester 2 class committee members. So soon, and semester 1 barely started... :\ dont know why they want the names in so soon. Ya so anyway, i was voted for vice sports/sports cap again. I think for the past 3 semesters already. lol. but this time alot supported me to be the sports cap for semester 2. haha. so im gonna be sports cap in semester 2. ty ppl. LOL..yeah. thanks for voting!! for being my loyal fan... LOL.... >.<

and thats pretty much all we did... so boring, so slack. haha. This whole week i assume would be very little studying, next week then start ba... yeah, hope everyone had a good start in 2006! =)

2006!

Yesterday was a really fun and full-of-experiences day. haha..
Since it was the last day of 2005, and we were not planning to stay at home and rot. So.. lunch time we went for this high tea buffet at Bugis. Then it was quite a big gathering, cos like uncle's neighbour and frens came along too. So the whole shop was like occupied by us. Furthermore, we were laughing and talking so loudly... it was really fun la.. haha.

After that.. DAMN it started raining... BUT luckily esplanade underpass is a rain-or-shine-can skate place!! hahaha. So we headed from Bugis over to underpass, planning to skate there until 12am go skating around Orchard and countdown.
Yeah so we were skating at the underpass, and whoa. There were SO MANY passer by all heading to Esplanade to watch the fireworks, then they all stopped by to watch the people at the underpass, cos it was not only us skaters skating, there were stuntbikers/breakdancers, yeah. SO the skaters' part weren't really that popular, cos the stuntbikers really attracted alot of people to stop and watch them. So not long the crowd dispersed, and then whoa, we went to set up our cones somewhere in the middle of the underpass, and now people were like crowding over the skaters, so it was really cool.. we SHOULD HAVE WORN THE SGSKATERS shirt.. haha.. to promote skating. Then we were skating and "performing" in front of them, people took photos.. oh yeah. Talking about taking photos.. haha. When we just arrived there, there were a number of photographers taking pics of us slaloming. At that time it wasnt really crowded yet though, and i rememberd when i was doing a certain trick the camera went "click click click" continously. haha.. >.< famous already la.. =p=p

yeah, and then we skate and skate, hahaha, then went out to start our urban skate around Orchard for the countdown and for supper at 11.30pm. The fireworks that went off at about 11.55pm was really nice! yeah BUT crap. The location we were at, although it was NOT CROWDED at all, and maybe thats also why, COS SWISSOTEL WAS BLOCKING THE WHOLE VIEW. what crap. So we didnt have a clear view... but nevermind. haha. Worse to come, SO many banglas all scream and shout so uncivilised.. then they were taking the fake snow spray thing and spraying in people's faces. So since we were like so odd, skating around, then people especially aimed at us, AND especially, i was the only girl skating there, even worse, i kena my whole face and body by the spray. Then the other skaters got so pissed off by the banglas, we decided to take our L-840 oil(to clean our skate bearings, a lubricant), and spray at them. hahaha. But we arent that uncivilised la, not spray just at anyone but especially at those banglas who purposely go spray ppl in their faces. Then we go spray back them... haha >.<

Skated until about 2am then left. And got road blocks everywhere for the countdown... haiyo. So everywhere is like JAM JAM JAM. The night was still so young when it was 2-3am there. So many ppl still flooding Orchard... yea. Especially banglas.. all still screaming and yelling like nobody's business, it was really a lifetime experience squeezing and shouting at banglas. haha =p yeah. and of course, HAPPY NEW YEAR TO EVERYONE, a new start, a fresh beginning, a whole new year of 2006.
